I am trying to find out the age of my old #2 W/S lathe.
I keep telling people that it is an 1890"s machine , but I am not really sure .
The founders of my shop told me that during WW2 this machine made more $ than any other machine in the shop. It still gets used as a daily runner , cutting lots of snap ring grooves , and with the help
of the mechanical bar feeder, 1,000's of tube spacers.
It is still running a flat belt to a 2 HP motor on top .
